- Siem Reap Airport: Approximately 55 km from the city center, with private transfer costs typically ranging from US$40 to US$50 per car or van.
- Phnom Penh Airport: About 30 km from the city center, with similar transfer costs ranging from US$40 to US$50 per private vehicle.
Luggage Transfers
All Cambodiabiking.com tours include luggage transfer services. Typically, a support van will carry your luggage throughout the tour, and in some cases, an additional support truck is used to transport bikes. This flexibility allows us to choose the best routes and most scenic roads for each segment of the trip. Sometimes, it may not be feasible to ride continuously from one departure point to the next, which provides an excellent opportunity to customize the route seasonally, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Safety:
In Cambodia, cyclists are required to ride on the right side of the road. Our routes mainly utilize backroads, which are typically less congested and more scenic. Prior to each ride, our team provides clear safety guidelines and instructions to ensure everyone rides responsibly and confidently.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory on all our biking adventures and cannot be waived. Participants who opt not to wear a helmet will not be allowed to cycle. While our tour leaders are trained in first aid and emergency response, each rider is ultimately responsible for their own safety during the ride. We strongly advise all participants to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers mountain biking activities, ensuring support in case of emergencies.
Bike:
Since many cyclists prefer to bring their own cherished bicycles, our tours do not include bike rentals as a standard service. However, you have the option to rent bikes locally at the rates specified in the tour details. If you choose to bring your own bike, please ensure it is a bike that is well-maintained and in good working condition.
Bike Equipment (Bike Rental):
In case, you rent the bike from us, we offer helmets and bottled water as standard safety and comfort provisions. If you wish to bring your own bike parts, such as seats, pedals, or helmets, you are very welcome. Our team will assist in swapping your personal components onto our bikes to suit your preferences, providing a customized and smooth riding experience.
Bike Repairs
Our guides and support vehicles carry essential spare parts and tools; however, we cannot guarantee to have every possible spare for all types of repairs. It is highly recommended that you bring a basic toolkit, a spare tube, and a pump with you during rides to handle common maintenance or repairs.
Snacks and Drinks
Cambodiabiking.com provides snacks and drinks throughout the riding days. For standard bike tours, we typically stop every 20-30 km for refreshments, with longer distances covered on e-bike, gravel bike, and road bike tours. Our snacks include fresh seasonal fruits, sodas, drinking water, chips, and cookies.
Food
Most of our tours include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as detailed in the day-by-day itinerary.
- Breakfast: Usually served at the hotel, with options varying between local-style in remote areas and Western-style in larger cities for better comfort and variety.
- Lunch: Typically at local restaurants along the route, carefully selected to ensure hygiene, quality, and authentic local flavors.
- Dinner: Often arranged in the city at reputable, professional restaurants at the end of each day, providing a better dining experience.
We focus on offering hygienic, high-quality food options throughout the tour to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
